1st February
Opening day on the River Dee at Park, Lots of Kelts and snow.
9th February
Jonathon Sutton's first fish of the season, 10lb taken from R.Dee at Park. The river was very high and the gauge had been completely covered.
25th February
Clive Williamson's first fish of 2008 from the River North Esk
13th March
Rory Forteath and 'Jonesy' enjoyed magnificent sport on the Lanrick beat of the R. Teith.
This is a lovely fish of about 12lb just before being released.
The boys had 5 landed and a few lost. They would of no doubt caught more if they hadn't got the Landrover stuck!
Jonesy was top gun for the day, pictured here with a beautiful 10lb fish.
14th April
This cracker ended my drought, it came at exactly 1pm [I should of stopped for lunch!] from the Cellar pool. I had lost 2 and had pulls tweaks that morning, if it hadn't been for Keith Cromer the head Ghillie I would of shot myself! Anyway I eventually managed to land this superb fish guessed at 17lb. At last my season was underway.
17th April
On a roll now! I was invited down to the R. Whiteadder by my good friend Graham Caton for a cast after work. The river was running high but using a sink tip and a Pot Belly Pig tube fly we landed 6 fish in a couple of hours and all from the same pool!
Graham is shown here with a lovely 7lb fish.
They were like peas in a pod. All between 7 and 9lb.
This river gets better and better, if the water conditions are good you have every chance of a fish.
