Abel remains one of the Top pioneers in Large Arbor
reels.

All Super Series reels are ported (ventilated) using a "rounded oblong" design that maintains total strength and rigidity in the metal.

They're light, yet retain all of Abel's traditional strength and integrity.

Techniqual stuff below;

• 2010 marks the 11th year Abel has made Large Arbor Super Series Reels.
• Reel frame, spool, drag knob and foot are 6061-T651 cold finished aerospace grade aluminum.
• Teflon sealed bearings are ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 Certified FAA TSO C149 Aircraft Bearings.
• Cork Drag System is made entirely in our factory. We use a superior high grade Portuguese cork with a little neat’s-foot oil on it.
• Double Pawl System: Super Series reel sizes 6 and larger are built with our recently upgraded double pawl system. Advantages include: increased reliability, back-up strength and unique sound.
• FlexABELity: Interchange both Large Arbor and Standard Arbor spools.
• Made in the USA.

Nick's fished for Saltwater species, Salmon and Sea Trout all over the world with this series of reel and LOVES them. Honest, tough reels with an awesome drag system. One of the worlds best made reels.

Loop Opti Power Spey  Winner Best in Test more than £400

After a year of testing sample after sample Loop are finally pleased to introduce the brand new Opti Power Spey 14' #9 and 15' #10 rods for 2010. These rods work equally well with short heads (typical for Underhand and Skagit casting) or longer spey lines. The tip recovery is extremely precise and the butt power never gives up.

The models feature Loops new patended Balanced reel seat, which is 50 % longer than traditional reel seats and allows the angler to choose position of the reel, balancing the rod against the weight of the line and the casting technique.

Hardy's chat;

The 30/40 tonne carbon mix allows the rods in this range to load deeply and quickly and gives them a very fast recovery rate. These qualities produce an action that is easy to master and yet gives genuine high performance on the river. A further result is the Uniquas are supremely capable with every design of line. Hard lined Fuji guides, scintillating dark pine coloured blanks, four-piece
construction and a carry tube complete this sophisticated package.
